Scarlett Johansson (born November 22 1984 New York City New York, U.S.) American actor and performer whose performance variety earned her acclaim in a variety of styles from period dramas to thrillers and action. Johansson was the child of a filmmaker and an architect. The family is from New York City. Hunter was twin to the younger sibling. At the age of seven years old, her love of acting had grown. Her first audition was for commercials. Her interest in acting grew rapidly and she soon after at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. In the Off-Broadway production Sophistry she co-starred with Ethan Hawke. She then made her first film appearance in North (1994) and was written by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson was next seen in Just Cause (1996), but the film Manny & Lo 1996 that gave her her breakthrough. The film is about two young girls that have fled to escape. Next, she received high praise from critics for her performance as the role of a teenager who been injured and left her damaged as she appeared in The Horse Whisperer (1998). The film gained her more acclaim in Ghost World (2002) as the cynical outcast Rebecca. Renee Felice Smith began her journey into the entertainment industry at an early age. While she was still a young child, Smith became interested in the field of acting. Smith's parents helped her with landing her first acting role at age six. Smith was in a Dannon commercial for television. She decided, like most actresses starting out, to refine her skills in theatre. She also worked in other initiatives across the USA and Canada, but Wildflower was her first onstage production. She studied at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
