Scarlett Johansson, American actress (born on November 22nd, 1985 New York City New York) is awaited for her recognition due to her ability to act across different genres ranging from historical dramas, thrillers and action-packed films. Johansson was born in New York City, and lived there with her father, an architect, and mother who produced. Her twin brother Hunter and her were her youngest siblings. In her early years, she began performing. At 7 years old, she had already auditioned for a number of commercials. In order to improve her abilities, she studied at classes at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Manhattan and then she attended the Professional Children's School. In the Off Broadway play Sophistry she acted alongside Ethan Hawke. She then made her first film appearance on screen in North (1994) and was directed by Rob Reiner, at age nine. Johansson starred next on screen in Just Cause (1995), prior to her breakthrough in the film Manny & Lo - a story of two sisters and orphans that are able to escape. The Horse Whisperer (2000), in which she played a teenager with a deformity caused by an accident, earned her critical acclaim. Then in Ghost World 2001 (as the young, sarcastic teenager Rebecca) Johansson was awarded the attention of a whole new generation. She became famous for portraying Nell Jones, the CBS successful series NCIS Los Angeles. She has won awards for her performance and was one of the main characters on the show. Alongside her part on the television show she was also a stage actor for many years. She is known for her exceptional roles in stage plays like Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith began her journey into the entertainment industry at an early age. When she was a kid Smith was interested in acting. Smith got her first job acting at the age of age six through the support of her parents. Smith was in a television commercial for Dannon yogurt. As many new actresses have done, she decided to further develop her talent in theatre. She was involved in various USA productions while getting her stage debut with Wildflower. She studied at the Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
